Was recently in Seattle. My favourite occupation was going to Starbucks. Loved the ambiance and chilling out on a comfy armchair. Felt like I was sitting in someone’s living room snuggling up to the fireplace. An oasis in the middle of a busy town centre.
My order was “Tall, drip with room”. A “Tall” coffee costs about $ 1.70. Terrific value when you take into account the exchange rate for the Euro. I was a bit suspicious of the Christmas Blend though. A strong coffee probably made up of all the left over coffee from the year and sold at a premium price.
Starbucks sells a McDonald’s sytle Egg McMuffin which was perfect for breakfast. I can’t understand why McDonald’s seems to be doing well and Starbucks’ share price is going down. I know Maccy Dees have gone up market now and sell good coffee but it’s not a scratch on the armchair, slippers and fire feel I get in Starbucks.
